Baby Essentials
What you truly need, at home and on the go.
The short list for the first few months at home, plus a grab-and-go list for outings and short trips.
The baby aisle wants you to believe you need hundreds of things. After five babies, my actual "need" list has only gotten shorter. This is it. — Anahely

Grab-and-Go Bag
Keep this packed and ready by the door — restock it right after you get home from an outing, not the next time you're about to leave.

FAQs
Do I really need a baby monitor if we're room-sharing?
Not right away — it becomes more useful once baby moves to their own room, usually after 6 months.
How many bottles do I need if I'm exclusively breastfeeding?
A couple on hand is still useful for pumped milk, outings, or if someone else needs to feed the baby.
What size diapers should I buy first?
A few packs of newborn size, then size 1 — most babies size up within the first few weeks.
Is a diaper bag necessary, or can I use a regular bag?
Any bag works as long as it fits the essentials — a dedicated diaper bag is convenience, not necessity.
How often should I restock the grab-and-go bag?
Right after getting home from an outing is the easiest habit — future-you will thank present-you.
"You need less than the registry checklist wants you to believe — trust that, and add only what you actually miss."
