Privacy Policy

What I collect

Newsletter and guide signups. When you sign up for the newsletter or a free guide, I collect the name and email address you enter in the form. I don't ask for anything else unless you send it to me directly, such as by email.

Visit data. Like most websites, this site records basic information about visits: which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit comes from, your device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is collected through Google Analytics and by the services that host the site (see below). I can't identify you personally from it.

How it's used

Your email is used to send you the guides you asked for and occasional newsletter updates. Visit data helps me see which pages are useful so I can make more of what helps. I don't sell, rent, or trade your information.

Services that handle your information

• MailerLite stores your name and email and sends the newsletter and guide emails.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used. It uses cookies and similar identifiers, and also tracks when a signup form is completed.
• Netlify hosts the site and may keep standard server logs, including your IP address.
• Supabase stores and delivers the blog articles. When you read a blog post, your browser requests it from Supabase, which can see standard connection information such as your IP address. I don't use it to collect anything about readers.
• Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver the fonts and code the pages use, so your browser connects to them when a page loads.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and I don't control how they handle data.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work. I don't use Google's advertising features. You can also use Google's browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

Affiliate links and other sites

This site links to other websites, including Amazon through affiliate links (see the Affiliate Disclosure section) and Instagram. When you click one, that site may set its own cookies and collect its own data. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

Children

This site is written for parents and caregivers. It isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. To ask me to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you, contact me at the email below and I'll take care of it.

Changes

If I change how the site handles information, I'll update this page and the date at the top. For example, if I add a tool such as a TikTok pixel in the future, I'll list it here first.
